ALIM Web Help

Dashboard

Last updated: December 07, 2023

ALIM Web includes a Dashboard that displays a set of standardized, built-in, key performance indicator (KPI) charts. This Dashboard provides users with timely information in chart format, without the need for a third-party application or customization.

Note: This feature is only available for SQL Server users.

This dashboard is considered an entry level solution to reporting project/changes. More detailed reports are planned in future releases, once AssetWise Insights has been released, which would allow for maximum flexibility, and would rely on a standard Bentley reporting framework for AssetWise.

In order to access the ALIM Web Dashboard, the user must have the Permissions > System Information > Dashboard Reports permission assigned, in AssetWise Director. For more information on assigning permissions, see "Defining Security" in the AssetWise Director Help. Note that reports may display totals for objects to which a user does not actually have permission. Permissions are applied at the detail/row level and will prevent unauthorized access, if a user attempts to view details about an object for which permission is not allowed.

The following charts are included in the Dashboard:
Chart Details
Documents A stacked bar chart displaying the top five projects, organizations, or change requests by number of documents. If no filter has been applied, then the top five relates to the top five largest objects from all records. The y-axis is the object chosen as the focus of the report. The x-axis displays the count of documents for the relevant y-axis objects.
Tags A stacked bar chart displaying the top five projects, organizations, or change requests by number of tags. If no filter has been applied, then the top five relates to the top five largest objects from all records. The y-axis is the object chosen as the focus of the report. The x-axis displays counts of relevant y-axis objects.
Change Requests A stacked bar chart displaying change requests by approval status. If no filter has been applied, then the top five relates to the top five change requests by number of affected documents. The y-axis is the object chosen as the focus of the report. The x-axis displays the count of documents affected by the corresponding change request of relevant y-axis objects.
Change Request History A stacked bar chart displaying the recent number of change requests, by month. The x-axis displays the months, and the y-axis displays the counts of change requests.

Users have the options to filter reports by project, organization, and change request, as well as specifying types of revisions that would be included in the reports. You can also include or exclude superseded documents and/or prototypes from your reports. The Dashboard also displays a chart with counts of how many changes requests have been processed, per month.

This chapter describes how to view and use the ALIM Web Dashboard.
